Where time goes
04:35
|
|
||
Trying to play in time
while the city lies like a dead man
time just scared it to death
although it were easy to follow our own bloodstains
recognize our path
revive our past
reconcile life with death
in this perfect circle all roads lead there
by this endless ring, all ways start there.
Where does time go
where did it come from
we've all been there thousand times before.

Years of drought
07:25
|
|
||
Been spending our whole life just waiting
in slumber, in famine
we're just fading
wet dreamy night where are you now
where do you stand now
where do you pour now
come freeze away
that hazy sun nailing our eyes
that shiny warm weakening our minds
there's gonna be me and you
as we're gonna rain.
Wet redemption
embrace me,
my love, rain
freeze my burning lips.
Once she said what if I die
and become rain with my thoughts
well if you're rain
I'm sure, I'll be the clouds.
Been spending my last years just sitting
in silence, in famine
I was fading
carbon dioxide you're not here now
where do you stand now
where do you seethe now
come freeze away
this endless war bombing my nerves
this arid death deafening my ears
there's gonna be me and you
cold, glorious, alive.

Elytra (bones for wings)
05:12
|
|
||
We just dropped away our lances
figured if they'd ever drill our shields
and set free our wings
so we could soar away
set free our wings
so we can fly away.
And that'll be our call
our mutiny
no sir, we will not
we're not here to fight
to be shot to death
to be drops of the gory river
headed to the red ocean
where human pride lies.
We're gonna break our own bones
drop away our ballast and guns
then we'll slightly soar
and we'll fly away.

In the saint's noon
04:30
|
|
||
Flowers wait to unfold
as june melts our mountain cold
fireworks smoke aloud in the morning sky
we bet we can fly
but the man's falling by the hill spilling warm wine
and blood to the ground.
The saint looks here from afar
looks like he just laughs
and we cannot find a damn word
while the fireworks shine
we still guess we can fly.
Flowers just live one day and they never cry
don't think they will die
the saint himself laughs aloud yet he laughs of the time
we spend stuck to the ground.

Lorelei
04:57
|
|
||
Follow me away from your deaf hopes
come with me, shade your mind within smoke
here's what you were looking for
here's the only thing that you will ever know.
She drove me away among her fog
then kissed me, blurred my face within smoke
thunders shaked our voices
as I fell
she lit up my day by sprinkling me with grey.
Follow me
leave yourself behind.
Can't help yelling out while my bones shake
while my pith bleeds away, while heart breaks
she now owns my body
and what I am
she sings by my breath, but knows I'm not dead yet.
We're fog, we're nowhere
we're not, we're not what we thought.
She owns a smoky diaphanous whisper that ill-conceals our sad muteness
then disappears, and I just can't speak anymore
and it's silent, it's never, it's like
we're fog.

Vespertine
05:15
|
|
||
Death shrinks
like shadows at noon
hiding under your shoes
sun's making your eyes shine
flooding your front
of beauty, of sweat.
Yet it's almost there
Vespertine, Vespertine.
At dusk
when she might be gone
or didn't even come
you'll see the gloom stretch on the tiles
and dark titans scare you to death
just trampling on you.
Vespertine, Vespertine
trampling on you
Vespertine.
Sun's making her eyes shine
flooding her front
of beauty and sweat
but when she'll be back
Vespertine
when she will be back
we will all be dead.

Deathbed tales
06:05
|
|
||
Rain blurs my bedroom window
as fever blurs my mind
kids cry aloud as if it's over already
I'm pretty sure it's not that late
and best's yet to come back.
My deathbed tales are gonna revive
through the lanes of some distant planet
perhaps a billion years from now.
So we burn, like an unexpected thunder
that steals the stars their scene
lets everything eclypse, stop to exist
for the only visible light's just us.
And so we burn.
But sun's coming up from the clouds
and from the silver peak afar
and gives colour to a newborn rainbow.

Someday in Summerland
04:38
|
|
||
My dark haired love
she'll be picking flowers for us
and take my hand
through the pebbly paths of our childhood
then we'll drink few beers to freshen up
under the shadow of an old mountain oak
feasting and reveling with leaves and acorns
as we really never grew up.
Someday we'll meet again
(my life)
and may be happy somehow
(as we did long time ago)
so let's start rejoicing right now.
